Krylon Industrial Black for the CV joints Grainger carries it.

heater box box painted with Krylon for plastic

Hood Hold down bar is painted an aluminum color

Seat material came is BMW MT OEM, Max at Maximillian Importing got it from MT for me. 800.950.2002.

Here’s a message from Holland.

I’ve seen your pictures, it’s exactly my car as in type, color etc. but with a far better restauration job done.

I’ve finished mine april 2006 just in time for the Bavaria Tour.

By the looks of the pictures yours is better than new I guess.

but I enjoy the car, drove it today with the family in it. Smiling all the way.

Some of us seriously contemplated going on the Bavarian Tour. Could not see doing it in a rented car and too expensive.

the C pillar on the touring is a few inches further back than the salons. The rear quarter glass is longer as well, naturally.

I assume it compensates for the rigidity lost in the bulkhead between the rear seat and trunk. The touring has about half of that bulkhead compared to the salon.

correct 3421912 actually flexed the frame jsut a tad in a hugh hole on villiage street in Baveria. The Burgermeister saw it happen ( hole filled with water and the "city" paid to get it fixed
