Who likes to rebuild carbs?

Recommended Posts

I need to eventually get my Weber 32/36 rebuilt and I have a single Solex that I’d like to tidy up for possible future use. Does anyone on this board actually enjoy and find themselves to be good a rebuilding carbs? Anyone have a favorite carb shop that does mail order work?

I probably should just do it myself, but I had bad luck with a lawnmower carb rebuild once and I’m no longer confident in my abilities.

Thanks for any tips or encouragement,

Ben

as long as the shaft play isn't bad it's pretty easy. just go slow and keep everything together. the toughest part, at least for me, was doing the choke.

the good thing is w/the weather this time of year you can grab a lemonade, and sit outside and spray all the carb cleaner and not get everyone in the house high from it.

think of it as an upgrade when you use cd's perscription in there.

good luck!
