What’s the “shelf life” of NOS hose?

Howdy Gents and Ladies—

I ordered every single coolant and heater hose for my Curt I. radiator upgrade project, however I mis-ordered the intake to water pump hose. I have a box of NOS parts, and I found what I believe is the correct hose, but I don’t know the exact age. The manufacturer is VORWERK and it shows part number 1153 1263 327 which does not show up on real oem.

The NOS hose is still soft—should I use it?

Thanks!

Ben

if there is no cracking its good to go! heat and ozone, engine nasties destroy the rubber. bend it over itself and see if it cracks any... no cracks, no worries! ;)
