anyone here have california Historic plates???

Just wondering if any one here had historic plate....do they really enforce the driving limitations??

Don't have first hand experience, but I was told by someone who was involved with someone who did have the plates that they do come out and inspect your odometer.....for what it's worth.

I have them on my 74, the PO I got the car from had them. No one has come to check my odometer thou.

Are the black plates original to your car? I have a 69 with new plates and want to go back to the black plates but I don't know if DMV allows this.

Impossible to go back to black/yellow plates. I was able to go switch from New to Blue on my Touring because I still had the plates I switched from a car I previously owned 7 years ago, but kept the rights to the personalized Blue plate. (By the way, "74 INKA" has been released and is now available in California.)

For "show purposes"(not legal), there are companies that reproduce plates, but will not allow California plates to be shipped to addresses in California.
