New 02 owner + question

Bought my first 02 about 6 month ago. 1970 roundie, White, 5 speed trans. I always thought the 02 was a cool little car when i saw one but never realized how awesome they are and fun to drive (more than my Cooper S)

Anyway, i've seen some people replace the hose from the oil breather to carb with filter. What is the benefit and where can i get one?

Depends on how good of shape your motor is. If you have alot of blow by (oil coming through the piston rings and smoking out the valve cover) leave the hose. You want it recirculated back in there as it would just clog up that breather filter.

Benefits? Small if any, less residue going back in.

Anyway you'll have fun with it, looks like a nice project.
