mechanical fuel pump w/dual side-drafts?

I know it's the fuel pressure that matter but is anyone currently running the stock mechanical pump with dual side-drafts?

I've heard the mechanical fuel pump from an E-3 (Bavaria type bimmer ) is the way to go if staying with the mechanical pump with sidedrafts. Remember, the NK ti's ( 1800ti/2000ti) are sidedraft models with mechanical fuel pumps.

no problem. all webers want about 3 psi fuel pressure. there is plenty of cars with 32/36 downdrafts to prove the point.

I'm running twin 40 DCOE's with a stock mechanical fuel pump with no issues!

I just picked up a pair of Dellorto DHLA 40's that I plan to put on my 76. I'd prefer to stick with my mechanical fuel pump, it's the newer style rebuildable looking one. We'll see how it goes. Thanks for the input!

you need mechanical - late model '75/'76 2002 or bavaria pump

it'll work and is much easier to plumb. I am running an e-3/9 fuel pump with dual 45's and haven't had any issues with fuel delivery.

Where is the best place to locate an electric fuel pump for running side drafts. My 76 car like most has the fuel line coming from the top of the sender along the right wheel well through the rear bulk head etc. Can I locate the pump immediately next to the sender?

I still used a pressure regulator with mechanical pump. Then I added an electric pump to prime carbs after storage. Then I decided to just use electric. Its in the trunk.
