Blow by recovery

Getting lots of blow by from valve cover outlet. Currenlt it is being fed into the air cleaner but it is getting all over everything. Is there a better way to recover the oil rather than loosing it out the vent hose or keeping the area clean? Please I do know that it is probably the valve seals.

It's your rings. You can rig up a catch can in the mean time

...by Mike Macartney suggests running a length of heater hose from the valvecover down past the transmission tunnel and capping off the air cleaner inlet pipe.

I currently run mine this way and believe me, the vapors from the crankcase are the least of my environmental pollutant concerns.

It is normal for an older M10 to get lotsa blow by to the point that it makes sound without the hose on. But if it starts to actually blow the oil out, you should consider finding out the real condition of the motor and look for a replacement

just run the hose and vent it into the air, just like old cars with no PCV.
