reverse light does not work...what's to troubleshoot?

My tranny is a Getrag 245. Could it be the reverse swith? where is it located? The bulbs have been checked. :)

bulbs are ok but check your fuses just in case.

the brake light switch sits on top of the tranny towards the front near the bell housing. It is just a two prong switch with hot 12+v running through it (it doesn't matter how you connect the wires to it). Check that. That is your most likely culprit.

Does your shifter 'click' over to the far right or drop a bit when you engage the gear or is your shifter setup sloppy? Maybe it's just not engaging...
