Recommended Posts

Hi Everyone,

I am getting ready to completey strip and refinish a set of Alpina 15" wheels for my inka car.

Can anyone definatively tell me what colors are to be used? Is it Polaris or another color, also what finish should the centers have dull or gloss black.

Regards and have a great weekend.

Anthony

Try this code:

Felgen Silver: BMW Code 144. I know Glasurit has the formula for their 55 Line (Base/Clear)

Looking for a more satin tone, use Rust Oleum Dull ALuminum. Works mighty well, here is a wheel I did on my 911 using R-O over some spray can self etching primer:

Wurth silver wheel paint is commonly used, but for less than half the price Krylon's Dull Aluminum is so close no one could tell the difference.....

Hmmm thanks.

I am having a shop refinish my wheels so I am pretty sure he would rather mix it then rattle can them. He did a set of concours steelies (if there is such a thing) and it took 2 or 3 tries before he got the right dull/matte'ness to them.

Thanks for the heads up on the Felgen Silver Matt, I think he will go with that.

Have a great weekend.
