Junk Yards in the SF Bay Area

Do pick a part junk yards in the SF Bay still have 2002's for pulling parts? If so can anyone let me know their names. I plan on going up this week and wanted to gather as much info as possible before I go. In southern Cal there are none in the yards.

Thanks

Robert

it's really 'hit or miss'. back in the 90's i could always count on at least one 02 in the picknpull whenever i'd visit the bay area to see my folks. now that i live here i rarely see them anymore.

i think Craigslist may be partly responsible, wherein before a person was happy to get the 'heap' out of the driveway, now a simple Craigslist posting can generate at least someone willing to pay for it.

There's two 2002's at the u-pull-it in North San Jose on Trade Zone just southwest of Montague expressway.

One round tail and one square- both fairly picked through I think.

There's two other "pick-n-pull" places in San Jose. The one off of Commercial tends to have a 2002 once in a while.

The Newark pick-n-pull is also a great place to go but I've heard they are closing it soon for redevelopment.

If you live closer to Fairfield there are two great junkyards there - a pick-n-pull and another around the corner (keep going west and make your first left and its on the right. I don't know the name- but there was some great finds there when I visited a few years ago looking for VW stuff)

During the same trip I found that the Oakland pick-n-pull sucked and the one in Richmond was decent.

It's not hard to find a 2002 down in the south bay- I see one nearly i every time I go to the yard. But i've rarely taken anything of of one, except the time I found some nice carpet and some rear brake cylinders to replace my leaky ones. (I'm a cheap bastard) Mostly I go for my m20 swap.
