I bet it's the same diameter as some vintage VW or Porsche application.

Measure it in mm and inches - then try some of the millions of VW parts places.

As an air cooled car fan yourself - that hose outta look awful familiar - yes?

store will have bulk pre-heater hose like that, either in black fabric-like material or aluminum. Measure the OD of the connectors to insure getting the right size.

Agree with Mike S. I just saw some of these at my local parts store the other day. It was the same 'paperlike' material and was dead on although I don't know what sizes they were.

- you might find that hose won't last long - particularly cheapo generics.

Also - you should replace the three rubber mounts on your air cleaner - the one shown in the 1st photo is broken - this will lead to trouble.

C.D. I think all he needs to find a parts guys that cares, is the biggest problem that most dealers have. I know, I use to be one.

I think the parts girl cares, shes pretty new though and i dont think she knows all that much yet. It took me 3 trips for her to locate the clips for the rocker moldings, and she didnt know what they were or what they looked like.

She was telling me they dont exist, but then when i went in for the hose she told me she had tracked them down, so i think she tries. Anyhow call in tomorow with the part numbers and order these parts.

The problem with the hose is

1. Its duct tape.

2. It doesnt stay on anymore at the top. Its pretty brittle

From now on go to this site, get the part number and bring it to her. She will be happy and yuo will get the right part.
