Mine fit perfectly and matched the depth of the AL40X I pulled out... I held them side by side to make sure prior.... Good point to check first before installing...

You are using the 318i bracket. I used my Tii bracket.

Not to highjack the threat but no one makes a drop in 90 or higher amp alternator for the Tii? I've seen some Beck Arnleys and Bosch on Ebay that put out 45 amps but the amount of electronics that is going into my 74 is well beyond that.

These guys (BnR) sell an 85 AMP internally regulated alternator that fits the tii:

Make sure that you save your original pully because the pullys supplied on the alternators from BnR are too small to fit with a standard sized tii fan belt.
