me doing the whole car! what a pain in the butt it is to sand even with an orbital sander i still have to hand sand the edges, the vent's or slats on the hood is a big f------ nightmare to sand, all my fingertips are numb now.

the hard part is buying a car sight unseen from germany and you find a lot of stuff under the paint.

hopefully i'll get it primered this week and painted the next week in time for the Mosport '02 meet on the 24th. Good thing Richard the bondo man is helping me out.

i call my 1802 the german lemon or zitrone

whew painting is very tricky but easy, the hard part was the roof, i had to stand on a milk crate and wrap the hose around my neck. will do better on the next one, which would be richard's car.

i just used the cheapest paint which is basic enamel by RM called limcon it was cheap at $51.00 for two quarts + reducer which amounted to three coats. the primer sealer even cost more than the paint. paint finish has lemon peel but since this is enamel with no clear coat, it can be sanded down and buffed, well i have to wait for that in another month or so when the pain has fully dried. i used an hvlp paint gun.

now i will put it back together in time for sunday's meet.
