Look what I found under the hood roundel

My son’s car is going in for paint this week. When we pulled the hood roundel off we saw this. Looks like the original painter signed his work.

Sweet! If thats the original paint on the car I would mask it so not to paint over it.

I think Steve from SB found something similar on his car. Gave me the idea to write HAB on my recently painted polaris car. If someone asks 50 years from now- it is the initials of our shop!

A freind had a dodge truck- mid 60's that had the painters initials- the guy did it with his finger in the fresh paint. Very cool.

Michael is right. I found this under the Roundel on the hatch of the Touring. It is quite cool...

Here is the underside of my E30 M3 rear deck lid roundel.

I'll have to figure out how to mask and save that piece of history when I repaint.
