i am working on LED tail lights

but it is an involved process (vacum forming and all)

not sure the demand would be big enough

guy at the plastic shop said i would be better off picking a late model car

I will be in Germany next week, if you want some cheap H4's 7" I will grab some from VW Golf's.

Yard lights not new but good used ones for about 20 bucks and shipping via us mail.

Golf I and II tended to have 7" Hella or Bosch units. I gave away a box of them last year. Consider it funding my laywer fees.

So I don't need to sell my BBS RS wheels.

yes, and LEDs are faster than incandesants...giving off more light faster helps people behind u stop sooner and maybe stay out of your trunk

I run LEDs everywhere I can. Better light, faster lighting, lower power/heat. And it fits right in/on. What's bad about better technology? We LIKE better brakes, better ignition, handling, etc.

I'm getting really tired of the 'purists'. "Oh, it wasn't used in 1968-72, so it must be not good for our car or my tradition". FTS...

Its not that I don't think improvements are a bad idea, I just think some are quite tasteless, it can be likened to being sponsored by Autozone, or the Auto Isle at Wal-mart. Your choice not mine, and I don't get "tired" by anyones opinion, like I said its all personal preference. He asked for opinions I gave mine.

about how things are not made like they used to

to a point i agree with him, but new technology makes things better

(mainly more efficant)

and if that were the case we would be using pen, paper and a real cork board to post these thoughts , not the latest silcon chips

Dont assume it's tasteless,ricey or tacky when you have not seen it. In my opinion, tasteless and tacky are the people who "upgrade" tail lights on newer cars to LED or projector/Jewel lights for no apparent reason other than it looks "good". I'm simply trying to achieve more light, less maintenance and better visibility.
