or budgie-cage floor. Me vintage late '73 or '74 in Hollywood. Back then you had to go to the newstands in Hollywood to find the British car mags like Motorsport and Autosport. My best friend shot the pic and maybe the negative survives, but the Cosmics shot is a scan from a print. I paid 100 bucks for the set of Cosmics brand new. The tires were Uniroyal Rallye 180s, which were excellent then. A lot of '02s came with 180s new. Once I got the Turbo flares/spoilers in '75, I sold the Cosmics and got a set of new American Libre 13x7 wheels for 120. I took 'em to Ron's Tire and Wheel in North Hollywood (they are still around) and had the set polished for a total of 60 bucks.

Same car, same mustache (parking at Riverside F5000 race in 1973, which was the first time I ever tried taking pics at a car race) . . .

Great pics bud. Were you really in an episode of The Twilight Zone with Burgess Meredith? Had some great talks with people at the Vara Oktoberfest event about the old Riverside track. Good times. That place lives on even though it's now a huge mall.

big rofl @ beatles content.

I'm refering to the Spooky Tooth Walrus cover version since InkaSteve's comment was so biting (and he owns a dental lab).

" . . . Perhaps the all-time 'heaviest' Spooky Tooth number was their interpretation of The Beatles''I Am The Walrus', a lumbering sinister version featuring Mike Harrison's ravaged vocal style. . . "
