I just saw a 3-series ad on CNBC this morning that had an '02 fest at Lime Rock and TONS of 2002 shots - commercial was for "The BMW 3-Series"...

Nice tribute & rememberance of the significance of the 2002.

Just not sure I think the new 1-series is equivalent/related...nor does it have similar traits/character.

I agree. I hope that I'm wrong and it is a true successor, but at about almost 3500 lbs I think that the 1 series is just too heavy to pull it off.

Again - I hope I'm wrong. A 135 that is a bit tossable would be too much to pass up...
