Thats where I got mine. Took it and the the 4 sped shaft to a driveline specialist and had them shorten and rebalance. Also got my dif from aardvarc for what its worth. Dave does good work and you won't find a spec of disrespect for him here on the FAQ. I shelled out the dough to have him build up a 40% lockup 4.11 and ship it to Japan. I haven't regretting it for a minute. Keep up the good work!

  • 1 month later...

So the car has being running well, apart from running rich on light throttle loading but hopefully I will be able to get that sorted.

I also got a photo of my sump baffle (finally)

getattachmentaspxjr0.jpg

It looks pretty good and has more little bits and pieces that aren't shown in the photo.

So once again I have some different plans for the car. As most of the work that has being done has being under loan from family I owe a little bit of money but still want to do a few things to the car.

1. sort carbies (last time I hope)

2. 5spd install

3. interior re-o

4. rota rb wheels with some bridgestone potenza adrenline re001's (got that figured out)

5. fix the body that I buggered up! DOH

I will also be making this car into less of a daily driver later this year. I will be moving to TWO wheels! Hopefully get myself a nice little honda run about. Then once I get my full license I may sell up the little 02 and move on to bigger and faster things :D possibly a nice m20 stroker turbo :D could be fun!

Thanks for reading the update fellow FAQ's

just update the shocks, springs, front sway bar probably a front strut bar too. sounds major but nothing like yours. I have to make what I want to do a bit more realistic as I will be starting another project in a few years.

on a car that is being driven in wet conditions the header wrap will cause your exhaust you rot from the inside out quite quickly. I have seen it happen on many car and bike pipes. I am not sure if those pipes were ceramic coated but still wouldn't use the stuff myself.

I will be getting them ceramic coated as well as using the exhaust wrap. I also don't like to drive the car in the wet that often as its not the nicest car to drive in the rain! Also kept under a car cover most of the time (water proof, not resistant)

So I'm in the middle of re doing the interior of the car. Painted the parcel shelf tray and half way through the carpet but have run out of paint and wont be getting any more till friday. But am still deciding what I should do for door inserts. I want to use metal and rivet that to the door but was wondering if I should leave it raw metal or paint it. Since the rest of the interior is black should I go for a black finish?
