67 1600-2 color availability?

I disagree on some of the colors on the chart, I've seen a 67 1600 that Bill Holmes had for sale (original CA black plate car) that was Tampico. I've seen 1600's in Nevada and Florida as well. I believe that there were only about 6 colors available when the 1600 was first introduced to the US. Mike Self should probably speak up and say I've been hitting the crack pipe again. I think between the two charts, the one Esty posted and this one http://www.bmw2002faq.com/content/view/32/32/ you can figure out what colors were offered to 1600 buyers in the late 60's.

I have an undated BMW colors brochure from '66 or '67 that has the following:

Turf - dark green

Florida - light green

Granada - dark red

Chamonix - white

Derby - dark grey

Bristol - silver grey

Caribe - middle blue

Pacific - dark blue

Schwartz - black

Manila - light beige

Sahara - middle beige

Tampico - dark beige

Polaris - silver metallic - extra price (no color chip)

Brochure states that "these colors are available for all models:

1600

1800/Automatic

2000/Automatic

2000TI

2000tilux

2000 CS/C Automatic

I've had a '67 1600 and '67 2000CS which were both originally Bristol.

Some colors are 1600 specific. I have seen Manilla 2002's but not Florida 2002's. There is a color chart (no colors just the names) in McCartney's book. However there are mistakes in that one too.

The chart posted a the top is for 2002's not 1600's.

Colorado is an 02 color. The paint code is 002 for Jiminy Christams!
