It will be sporting an S 14. The pick up will be a regular M 10. I'll post more of the wagon when Dr. Frankensteel and friends add to it. Mr McGinn's better half is ready to add the the Irish legend in America at any time and It may be a while before more pictures are forth coming. I do believe that there is talk of Lee's Massive brakes(E 30) and 5 lug wheels for the wagon.

Funny thing is, the part of that assembly (not the channel section with the punched holes in it) is a >gasp< BRITISH PART!!!

Its an MGB inner rocker. We were working on a "C" GT a while back and noticed that the inner rocker would, with some minor modifications, fit between the inner and outer rocker panels on an 02. In addition, building an additional channel section and welding it to the MG piece would yield an intermediate rocker panel much like that used on the full cabrios, but for significantly less cost. Plus its super stealthy and strengthy.

Here is a pic of the MG piece alone in a different car for reference to see how its fit to the car without the channel piece.

Its Moss Part Number 457-170 and 457-180 L&R, respectively.

Its part number 11 in this drawing for reference.

I made the channeled section from 20 ga steel.

The front section of the A pillar that is hidden beneath the rocker panel had a little boxed end cap made for it-effectively boxing the bottom of the A pillar so that the new intermediate assembly can be welded to it.

Pretty cool stuff, and really not THAT much extra work "while you're in there..."
