BMW 1602 UK Project

So here is my '75 1602, i bought it in the summer and used it solidly until about christmas.

I have now bought it indoors and an begin my first bits of real "restoration". I am not going for historical accuracy but i am not into any modern looking bits. I got a 2.0 litre from an old Inka Touring which i am rebuilding at the moment. I have got some Twin Choke 40 Dell Orto's, some high compression pistons. I also took the suspension from the touring, so i now have anti-roll bars. i also bought a suspension kit from Jaymic with lowering springs, Bilsteins and camber adjuster plates.

So after i have finally finished all this i am inevitably going to have to look at brakes then do something about the body. thats after i have saved some money.

If you can, do the kidney transplant! Those grills on the touring look in great shape. Maybe you can also go for roundies on the rear.

Otherwise pretty neat car!

Amazingly i like the black plastics front. The grills are pretty good, i am going to clean them up then sell them. Round rear lights would be great but its not top of my list, just one of those short rear bumpers from a 1600-2 for now.
