Depends what you want to do with the car. If it is a driver and you are not ging to restore it and want to drive it then go ahead. I think that as time goes by you will wish you had the matching numbers. On a tii, if you have the resources and can have it off the road for a bit I'd stay with the original, research it and build exactly what you want.

Of course that is best done by buying the other engine and doing yours as you can.
