I have one that I had shipped over from Amsterdam in 2002. If I had to guestimate, I'd say there are in the neighborhood of 60-70 in the states...but Les has a better sense of real numbers.

There are two here in NC (that I know of), mine and Scott Barnes' formerly Sahara and now a beautiful Taiga that will makes its public debut at the Vintage in May.

There should be as many as 5 at this years event, perhaps a record for the East Coast

Concerning the one in MDR:

Les, I know the exterior color is Malaga. Not sure if I still have the VIN, but the car is VERY beat up. crushed front valence, rust everywhere. It looks like a mess.

To the one who wants to buy it: It is located at an independent BMW shop behind a car delearship on the East side of Lincoln, just before chequered flag.
