GAHH Carpet Kits....

Fairly expensive at $700+, but looks to be OEM German loop salt and pepper. #476 Gray. Has anyone here ponyed up the big bucks and installed? If so, please post impressions and pics. Thanks.

I've had this cheaper US produced stuff installed, but poor fit and too thick. Get what you pay for...

Get what you pay for and also get what you need.

Hopefully I'll reach the stage where I can justify the cost to get THE correct carpet for my car, but right now I am just too busy driving the wheels off of it. A cheap carpet set can be a good fill in while the car is "in process" or if that is all your budget will allow.

I'd like to know how the fit and finish is on their front seat kit. I already have a full set of seat pads, I'm just not ready to take a $900 leap of faith.

When I worked for Maximillian - we sold their wool kits at discounted prices - and they were the finest 02 carpets I have ever seen. Beautiful. Back then (2003?) - they were still $540 or so, though.

Try www.only02.com (like johnhup mentioned) or www.worlduph.com. I have heard good things about both companies and they're both a LOT cheaper that $700. Chris at Only02 is a really nice guy.

Here's an Only02 carpet installed in one of his cars on eBay:

...and they sell for only $220.

theres wool and then theres nylon. theres a big difference. i have nylon in my 69 and it looks fine but it doesnt even compare to the look of the wool in my 70. the wool was also 3x more however. nylons fine for a nice driver. does chris do wool also?

Good point. I think all of Chris' stuff is nylon.....but you might be able to convince him to do wool. I still can't figure out if the WorldUph carpet is wool or not.

I have the GAHH German square wave carpet made by now defunct Seams Perfect (AKA Al Knuck), in tan. Great looking carpet, the best. I waited for two years but if you are interested I can sell it to you for $500.00+S/H. Maybe I should list in on the for sale department.

I agree with Blunt, Cris' carpet looks great from a distance but when you look at it closely you can tell the difference, German Square weave carpet is the best. You get what you pay for. I have nothing against Chris' carpet, especially at that price. But if I am doing a full resto, I would want nothing but the best

Am interested in the carpet. Has it been used and is it the "salt and pepper" color? Thanks.
