thin metal welding is what separates the men from the boys....

i am thoroughly humbled by my experience with sheet metal. i've become intimate with my cheapo grinder.

sheet metal is this weekend

we are fabricating seat mounts that are going to be welded to the floorpan.

i'm hoping to avoid creating holes

mounting race seats?

I'm not sure I would mount seats to the floor pan......it's thin (16ga) sheet metal and not the best mounting location for race seats....assuming you are talking about not using the stock sheetmetal seat mount structure....

so if you are disregard my statement.

not racing seats, e36 M3 sedan seats.

probably need to mount to the tunnel and outboard area as the stock seats were. just need to figure out the design

these seats are higher, benetton is 6'5" and we need to be basically on the floor with the mounts.
