WTB Key for locking gas cap

all use different keys:

Early style: polished stainless, round diecast keyhole cover. Key very hard to find; have been trying to get some blanks for some months now

Later style: frosted stainless, oval/diamond shaped stainless steel keyhole cover. Key blanks available--check archives for key number

What BMW currently sells--stainless steel, has ridge across the center with keyhole in ridge, no keyhole cover. Key blanks also available. Check archives for number.

cheers

Still trying to find early style blanks that actually fit.

I believe that FV1 is the early locking gas cap key that Mike is looking for. The profile looks very much like the key in my pocket right now. I have the same caps on most of my cars and don't need keys at the moment but ya' never know.

I've bought a few keys from them.

any of the key numbers on my list (or the keys I have). The ILCO number is H62VG, and th eold Taylor number is a 63G.

I've found the ILCO keys, but they were incorrectly manufactured and won't fit the early gas cap keyholes. We're attempting to resolve the problem with the manufacturer.

Cheers
