"The Stance Thread"

EDIT: Video removed. I remember now why I do not usually put any material in forums.

I did not get to see the video but after seeing your deleted video comment and following the comment afterwards.. I was intrigued to see what your car looked like. I found a build thread on it and it is a really good looking car. I can tell you put a lot of hard work and effort into it. You are proud of your work.. I get it. Kudos man!

Don't worry about the naysayers.. we all have free will to stop watching any video in it's entirety with a simple click of a mouse button.

Anybody running 225/50r15 on flares? The rims are 15x7 et10. Every one says 225/50 are too tall, but according to willtheyfit.com I would only loose 10mm of gap between tire and fender. So with the flares I should be ok right?

Here's my car with 225/45/15's BFG G-Force Rivals and stock fenders. They're on 15x8 ET12 Kosei K1's.

I was concerned that I wouldn't have enough clearance between the strut up front so I went with 205/50's up front. You can imagine my dismay when the 225's ended up clearing....

You will need a fairly low offset up front in order to clear the struts and trailing arms with the 225's. I don't forsee the sidewall being too tall with a 225/50 and flares though. I do prefer a little less sidewall than that though.

Did you have any issues with the tire scraping the front at full steering lock?

I wouldn't know as I didn't try; I'm still waiting on flares to use that setup. I would imagine there will probably be some clearance issues in the nose while close to lock, but nothing some massaging wouldn't take care of.

I think 225's may be too much tire for a 7 inch wide wheel though.

It'll most likely rub in places that you don't expect, such as the front valance.

It also looks like they'll rub on the fenders under compression.

I'm sorry, but that's just hideous. And it looks like the rear is falling off..
