advice on locating an A/F mount to exhaust downpipe?

folks, i'm repairing a vintage set of supersprint headers i bought recently from this board. while i'm at it i've decided to add an air/fuel pickup port.

i opted for a threaded mount which is oriented at a 45degree angle.

question: is there an optimum location for this fitting?

looking rearward towards the three bolt mounting flange, what orientation (clockwise) should i aim for and how far forward of this flange should i be?

i bought a pair of these mounts so i'm intending to install the other on a stock downpipe as well.

is the 45degree angle mount the right choice or should i go for a straight mount that sticks out perpendicular to the exhaust tube?

as close as you can to the engine, but after the collector. you need to keep the oxygen sensor hot, but you do not want to introduce any extra air from exhaust leaks.

Not sure how applicable this will be to you, but I have heard that it's not advised to mount the O2 sensor in a location where it might be prone to collecting condensation (such as the bottom of the pipe).

Yes, after the collector, and mount it on top if possible (or from 12 o'clock to 3 o'clock). You don't want to put it lower because of potential moisture issues harming the 02 sensor.... I borrowed this advice from Innovate Motorsports. I have the LC-1 Kit.
