Trans mount

if all you are after is a template to recreate this bracket, why don't you just scale it to the proper dimensions?

this can be determined by knowing that the distance from the two mounting holes to the single rear transmission mount should equal the added length of the 5th gear section of the 5spd transmission. the holes on the existing 4spd tranny mount tabs are slotted for minor adjustment as well as this 5spd bracket so you have room to adjust as needed for slight variation.

it's a matter of ratios as to what you are measuring on the photo to the known distance from the mounting holes to the rear tranny mount that you can determine the actual values in full size.

there,.... did i make that confusing enough?

Just take a thick piece of rigid card board and start cutting out your profile.

Since it is flat, you're in luck. Start with the general shape outside or inside, doesn't matter. Then refine the shape as you go. Add holes at the end.

After you're pretty happy with your design, transfer the design to a piece of plywood the same thickness of your planned piece. This piece can be refined further by sanding or elongating holes.

Either refine this one again, or transfer it to metal and you're done (after cutting and drilling and painting of course)

This process is cheap and won't piss anybody off that might have a design that they've produced and are selling... you've earned it.

Make it different... or just do it differently
