Parts FOUND: KF Throttle body sealing boot and clip

I am looking for the rubber sealing boot (cap) and retaining clip for the tii throttle body.

The Cap is BMW # 13541258015

They are NLA, I am sure you are aware of that. Most people would ignore them. Use a heavy-duty heat shrink tubing of appropriate size and a zip tie.

I found a plastic sealing cap at work today which fits tight over the stub.

The stub measures about 0.80" up to 0.85" at the retaining ridge.

Great idea, can you send a picture so I can use the same thing? May be a bar stool leg cover fit?

I found a blue colored cap on a blower that we just received at work. It was protecting a breather vent on the side of the housing. The cap was already spray painted silver, so I didn't even have to paint it!

More ideas:

These sealing caps are also available from Eastwood to cover openings during blasting or powdercoating.

A small cap with metal threaded insert like used on the end of a gas grill "axle" may work if you can find the correct diameter.

Browse thru the hardware aisle at the Home Depot or Lowe's for a plastic cap in the assorted drawers. This was what I was going to do Saturday had I not ran across the cap at work.

The plastic cap I used clears the KF throttle linkage at full throttle.
