I took some time and made another look at the spreadsheet on compiling the nuts, bolts on our cars with BMW part numbers. I have no idea why anyone would need this but I was on a mission.

The complete deal is in the FAQ Constuction Zone Section.

If you need or want the spreadsheet, send me an e-mail

It is funny what you do when you are bored, tired or laid up.

I to have spent numerious hours or days to accomplish something.

When I finish at 3am and crawl into the sack I think great, now what am I going to do with this.

I would like a copy of that Bill. I will find a use for it.

Thank you.

Joel.

bill, i think you should seek professional help......

that is an amazing effort

you raise the anal-retentive bar to an amazing height.

what i've done for my needs is assemble reference packets of all the nuts/bolts/washers for a particular assembly and store them in my reference box.

then i merely pull out the applicable packet and dig through my parts drawers to assemble the necessary bits.

Bill,

Thanks for your efforts with this. I'm confused by the pitch column, shouldn't the pitch be the distance from one thread to the next in millimeters? M6x0.8-15 HHS for a M6 hex head 15mm long with a pitch of 0.8mm per thread?

gauge for this? I may have used that instead of the metric one.

Let me check, I was afraid I may have screwed that up. If so, I have a lot of emailing to do. Oh well, I can get that done.

However, the part numbers stay the same. It only matters if someone is to order the bolt with a US pitch, then they can say the guy who created the spreadsheet is a crazy guy.

I just checked and you are correct, I used the US pitch guide.

I will busy myself in fixing it.

Thanks for catching that.
