Anybody ever heard of an Edition? Insurance battle...

So i'm still fighting this insurance battle with the aid of an attorney.

Things are taking forever and I am not to pleased with the other company, Zurich.

They are idiots and have no idea what a BMW 2002 is. I suppose I can't blame them, they probably don't come across them every day.

Anyways, my attorney has reported them asking is the car is a 239, 236, 237, or 274 edition. Has anyone ever heard of this? I think it's B.S. Thanks!

they are referring to the first three digits of your VIN.

2-36 = Mod 75 year 75, 2-37 = Mod 76 year 75, 2-39 = Mod 76 year 76 automatic, 2-74 = Mod 76 year late 76. See FAQ link http://www.bmw2002faq.com/content/view/13/32/

I feel your pain....I ended up OK with the insurance adjuster on my smack, very hard to believe knowing what everyone goes through. Try to get them to "respect" the value listed in the NADA classic valuation guide, it might help.
