That is a super-nice unmolested Sahara. Please don't make it Inka like everybody else. Sahara is a bit like Rodney Dangerfield, but you learn to love it. Many cheap resprays have Sahara underneath -- it doesn't improve the value of the car. I say focus on mods that affect handling: Bilsteins, lowered springs, better tires, replace tired balljoints & tierod ends, etc. Also, a 5-speed is a very good upgrade. Good luck!

You'll learn to love it. When you log a bunch of hours setting up the suspension and drivetrain the way you want it, you'll see the car, color and all, as your own. I never would have picked Sahara if given the chance, but I love that color now. Keep it original!

be an identical car in pretty much the same pristine original condition around the Fair Oaks area (10 miles east of downtown Sacramento CA), but I haven't seen it in a couple of years - where did you find this one?

I got this from a dealership in San Diego. It was called Beverly Hills motors. In San Diego?? Odd I know.

It is now coming to the midwest. Been a California car forever. Going to keep in garage here.

PS...You guys sold me the paint is staying the original color!!

Excellent! I know when I got my Sahara '74, it wasn't the color I was looking for and I also had a brief thought of changing it, but within a few days I fell in love with it. Now if I spray it, it'll just be to restore my Sahara paint to the condition yours is already in!
