Really like the work youve done, the fan sounds a bit dodgy! Wouldnt want those blades flying off into the engine compartment! I would also like too see some more pictures of how you re structured the nose of the car?

I will try to take some more pictures tomorrow of the front nose.

The fan actually works a lot better then you would think. We luckily have a machinist friend that milled both ends flat. Then it was guled with a very strong 2 part expoy that bonds to plastic. We tested it multiple times and it acutally works like a champ.

On the exhaust we actually got an "i" down pipe and mated it up to the the m10 exhaust with some scraps from an exhaust shop. It is just for now till I have the time to take it and get a proper exhaust on.

Here is some pics of the cable.

carpics2014.jpg the bracket clips on to the white part.

carpics2015.jpgcarpics2013.jpgcarpics2010.jpgits hard to see but that is where the weld is.

carpics2008.jpg

carpics2016.jpghere is the back of the bracket to hold the cable. Again it is the original honda one( it actuall had the same bolt pattern as the m20 mount) we did have to bend it the other way though.

This is the part of the front nose that we cut out.

carpics2017.jpg

We pretty much gutted out the front nose to clean every thing up.

Here are the mounts for the radiator.

car12.jpg

I forgot to mention that we are using the the early e30 radiator so that we can still use all the original hoses.

I hope those help. If you need another angle or pic just ask.

Our best friends in the project.

This is the 2 part epoxy i was talking about earlier, highly recommend. It dries like a hard plastic. You can actually sand and drill in it.

Also how I cut the fan to gule it on backwards.

Looks great! Any issues mounting the Getrag 240? Did it fit with any mods to the tranny tunnel? Does the console still fit? I'm trying to save up for (and find) a 323i 5speed - so in the meantime I was going to fit a Getrag 240. Keep us posted on your progress - especially when you get it running.

We did have to tilt the trans mount and shifter just a bit to the drivers side. I will try to take a picture of the back of the mount so you can see it better. I also had to massage the tunnel just a bit because it will sit further back than your normal 5 speed converson. With that all said and done i think the 240 works out pretty great because they a readily available and very cheap.

Also the car is running. After the first crank it started like a champ.

The one thing that helped alot was the "six does goe into two" write up. I recomend printing that out to use as a guide. I also used there guidelines to make the motor mounts.

To me the hardest part was trying to decide on which radiator and transmission I was going to use. I say that because depending on what parts you use you will have to fab accordingly, that is what held us up the most.

The one thing i do recomend is to not try to take any shortcuts and take your time because it will cause you to do double the work later.

Hope this helps. if you have anymore questions please feel free or if you need any pictures of anything just let me know.
