I have only seen the putrid orig. series in the late 1970's. My big brother likes the new series a lot, but he's into sci-fi stuff much more than me. I hope that there is no resemblence to the orig. show!

i watched the original series when i was a kid, but grew out of it a long time ago. the NEW series is truly awesome. you owe it to yourself to give it a try! i havent watched the latest half season on tv only because i like to just torrent all my tv shows and watch them together, and without commercials.
