model differences re: armrests

i know that there were model differences in the door skins (was it 73?) where lots of the chrome-style piping disappeared in favour of a more all black look.

but did the arm rests change too? i see the occasional picture of an arm rest that is more straight with out the rising grip part at the front. is this a mod or is in a model change? would that mean that if i have the curved arm rest i can't use a door skin from a later style?

RHD cars only came with the armrests like yours. The flat ones were on the drivers side of LHD cars.

Lux cars had the tall armrest on both doors as well.
