Another Trapezoid Mirror Question: glass replacement?

I need to replace the glass on my driver's side Trapezoid mirror. Are there any special precautions or tips? Item #12 below; is this the white gasket?

Hi Eastside.

I was going to redo my mirror also. I found that they want like $50. per item when I was looking. $50/mirror $50/gasket rechrome is $100.

I got a new mirror from Blunt and was happy. I will use it for the restore whenever that takes place but they are probably only going up in price so I got it now.

i recently had new glass cut locally...cost 5.50 each..bought gaskets from tilux on ebay

Item # 12 should be the white gasket

That would be the way to go. I checked into this over a year ago.

Esty has the right idea.

I looked on that max site and the prices for the pieces are very reasonable to rebuild one now unless you have to rechrome. That gets expensive for one little item.

Sorry, but the inventory of the gaskets has been exhausted and they are NLA.
