After 35 years I'm not going to use a 2002 for a daily driver, Picked up a 86 M535i with severe clear coat dermatitis yesterday in Boise Idaho and drove it 500 miles back to Seattle, what a great road car gave it a brief shot at 220 kph just to see what the top end was and it wasn't even breathing hard, anyway it will make a great commuter car for me and the 2002's will get driven on the week ends.

Don't worry about the world ending today,

Hell it's already tomorrow in Australia.

What's the difference between the M535 and M5 besides the engine? Does it have an M designation because of the body kit?

Current: 1974 BMW 2002, 2004 VW R32, 2009 Infiniti FX35, & VW Eurovan Camper

Previously: 1970 BMW 2002, 1996 VW GTI, 1984 VW GTI, 1984 GTI

It is a styling package.

Also, this car should also have the "dirty" m90 motor. Higher compression and a more aggressive cam(compared to m30). They also did'nt run cats hence the "dirty" designation.

The M535i was offered in either Cat or Non Cat form in Europe. Different pistons, too. The "dirty" motor is the one to have - natch!

I loves me some E28s. I actually prefer the single cam cars to the multi throttle body/M5 twin cam cars for useable torque and practicality.

enjoy it - it's a good score!

By the looks...it appears as though you already have the M535i fender flares? Hard to tell from photos. They were either standard or an option if a customer ordered a car with wide wheels with the tread exceding the fender arch.

I'f not...I have a set i was gonna put on my '84 535iS conversion M5 clone.

They are for sale. New they are $750 if you can find 'em?

My price is no where near that.
