light on guage cluster

Recommended Posts

orange light is for oil pressure. if its low then it will take a little while to go away when you start the car up and if you take turns really hard on the car the light will periodically turn on. (or at least that's what happens in my car when i'm low) the red L is for the alternator. If its coming on periodically it means that your alternator isn't working right. Sometimes when i'm about to stall the car the light will come on showing that the alternator is momentarily not being turned over enough. It seems like you have some stuff to check out under the hood

whats the red light for and the orange light for? why are they coming on? driving one day and they kept coming on and off. thanks

If you mean this red light (see pic) it's Brake Fluid level, Choke out or (as in my case) hand brake switch not adjusted correctly. It blinked at me for all the 1300 miles back from V@V.

I can still see it when I close my eyes!!!!

And you didn’t think a small ball of gum and a quarter stuck over it would make it go away? Even some black tape?

Oh well, hind sight is 20/20 (with intermittent flashes of red..ha ha ha). Beaner7102

are those custom gauges?

I got them on Ebay. They were like $28/set with shipping.

Very easy to apply, and they fit real well.

Pity I forgot to paint the gas & water temp needles black before I put the cluster back in. I just brush painted over the faux wood - it's Da Beater, it's ok!

Check their website - www.whitegauges.net

I would recommend them to anyone.
