OT: Finally got Blunt's E30 through the california BAR!

Anyway yeah, we do have the pick of the litter with older cars and some nice roads to drive them on.

The sucky part is if/when I get toted off to Michigan for work- I'll miss out on non-salty roads!!

I remember going through this when I swapped an 88 M3 motor into my '84 318i. It was a little different back in 1997 when I had it done but the red tape was still the same. Wouldnt okay it till I got the check engine light fixed....WTF, the 88 M3 didnt have a check engine light. Just had my mechanic rig the light to turn on and off with the rest of the dummy lights.

yep I had the same problem. I made a circtuit board with a 555 timer to turn the light on after start up and shut off after a second!
