Talk to Al aka Bluedevils on this forum. He sells quality rebuilt belts and is a good guy to work with.

Need a set for my 72. The kids are getting their license and want to drive the Blue Rocket.......... = need seat belts.

Thanks. JP

Oh no!! Don't do it!

Unless you are sitting in the passenger seat every time they drive it.

Always let a teenager drive a "beater" you are prepared to let go to the junkyard.

I know of too many similar stories to list.

Just last week, I sold an e30 pass. gutter trim peice to a local guy.

The '86 325e was spectacular! new paint, immaculate interior, etc.

He let his son (19) take the car out on a Friday night.

He called me Sat. morning & asked me if I wanna buy another parts car for $500.

He said his son is a good kid and drives responsibly, yaddy, yadda, yadda.

They are all "good kids" and "responsible' in the eyes of a parent. Think about it...when you were 16-20, how did you or your friends drive or treat their cars once out on a Friday night with their "buddies"?

My daughter is a "good kid" and drives responsibly. She let her boyfriend drive her $6500 Blazer on a Sat. night and I got "the phone call"= TOTALED TRUCK and a trip to the hospital...overnight.

I think you are spot on. I'm going to get them an old SAAB 900 automatic to bang around in.....nice and slow, no pickup, good in snow, etc. $400 at the car donation place outside Boston. They can keep their paws off the '02.

Still need belts though. Was hoping to pay less than $200.......oh well.

She just called me 5 minutes ago..."I think the muffler just fell off?"

oh well.......

I bought her a $4500 Jeep Grand cherokee after the Blazer was totaled.

1) Another boyfriend crunched the grille, bumper, fender etc.

2) Then she hit a deer...crunched the grille, bumper, fender etc.

3) She finally blew up the motor, so I put her in the Saab.

Teenagers brains are not fully developed until they are 25y/o. They don't have the thinking capacity to acknowledge the consequences of their actions yet.

That's the fact, Jack.[/img]
