I checked, it is less than two miles from my house. They probably have set a fairly high reserve if the paint job is really that good and they are primarily a hot rod/custom shop and don't know these cars. It looks Manila to me but then I am partial to that color!

Car is on consignment and according to shop, was originally white, but now painted "tan".

Emailed BMW Group Classic (still does not sound as good as BMW Mobile Tradition does it) and here was the response based upon the VIN listed in the auction.

Dear Mr Adams,

Thank you for your email.

The BMW 2000 US Automatic VIN 1160358 was manufactured on June 13th, 1969 and delivered on June 26th, 1969 to the BMW importer Hoffman Motors Corp. in New York City. The original colour was Florida, paint code 066.
