WTB: Bosch Idler Air Control Valve from a e21/320i

Sorry Al. I just got back from my two local yards and totally struck out, not a single E21. If you continue to struggle to find one, let me know, and perhaps next time I'll have better luck. Oh, and I'll send you some IAC photos off-line.

bluedevil, theres is only one e21 here in pittsburg about 3 weeks ago. i can check it for you this weekend. can you send me pic of what exactly i'm gonna look for.

here is a pic I copied from Grover's post. Grayish stuff with the hose attached. On an e21, it usually sits on the valve cover close to the intake. between cyl. 3 and 4. Thanks for looking for me.

You can test the coil for resistance, just connect a volt meter set to resistance and measure across the leads. If there is resistance the coil is OK, most of the time of course. It may still show some resistance and yet be shot.
