I have a classic set of 13x5.5" Borrani steel wheels. A set of 175-70-13 Pirelli P77 tires are currently mounted. These are my dream wheels and I would love to keep them, but I am moving and can't take all my treasures with me.

Asking $250/set or best offer. Located in Seattle, will not ship!

Thanks!

Hello, I'm not here to ruin anyone's day, but I believe these are OPEL wheels that were sometimes used on GTs with a chrome centercap snapped onto the 4 clips that are seen riveted to the wheels in the various pictures. The same wheels were also used on older kadett rallye without the clip on center cap as shown in this picture:

WOW, what a contribution. I purchased them from a local BMW racer. He advertised them as Borranis, and so I'll do the same. These wheels are actually better looking than other Borrani wheels I've seen, so whatever they are, it is a good deal for somebody

who made the BMW factory steel wheels. And the Opel wheels say "Opel", have the Lemmetz logo, wheel size and a month/year (3-69) date stamp.

I suspect the Borrani wheels would have to be stamped "Made in Italy" and "Borrani" somewhere, along with the size. They do look similar. And FYI there were no 5 1/2 inch wide Opel wheels. They came in 4", 4 1/2" and 5"

Cheers

Hey greasemonkey, Again, not trying to anger anyone, and I'll say that I'm not an expert on this, but I own a set of these (pictured above) that look identical (-the clips) that are 13"x5" and are stamped OPEL just as Mike has described. I'm attaching two more pictures I found on ebay a few years ago...these were marketed as OPEL GT wheels and look very similar to your wheels. I don't remember what size these were listed as. Just trying to provide info I have.

Thanks--Ben

My wheels have no symbols or writing on them, but you found a match.

I would say that you are correct, sir. I am certainly not offended by the information you have presented. Thank you for the knowledge. I still paid far more than I am asking for the wheel set, so I don't think the new info will change my asking price. I will further my research on the subject!

Cheers,

Patrick
