Period cibie grill with spots - never seen it before

Kinda looks like the aftermarket twin headlight grill. I guess you could have extra headlights or just locate spot lights there.

The so-called Alpina and my ex-Touring parts car (definately not an Alpina part) grills are for 5 3/4" lights (not 7" like the Diana).

It may well be - the protruding cibie spot makes it look quite different. Did your twin light grill have a little shaped air intake between the tops of the lights - just visible in this pic taken from behind the lights?

I had a pair of those that I purchased in Munich. I don't remember the store that I found them in. This was in 1974. They were great at night. They used the stock 7" lamps with the 6" spots. G
