Ive used the search function and found out lots of cool info on struts for the 02,

if you want stronger front struts are tii struts the only option? Can the originals be made stronger? or are other struts from other models available to be modified to fit bilstein inserts and 02 springs?

are you planning on doing a Baja Ralley?

the spring perches tend to collect debris and rust along the weld seam. keep those clean and you'll eliminate that problem.

i don't know of any bending of the tube itself due to stress. what takes a beating is the control arms below and the ball joints and motor mounts.

the bearing journal wears if the hubs aren't properly tightened with ever so slight backlash, required.

actually, you can get the same size brakes onto the standard strut.

It's the bearings that make the tii spindles... special.

There are struts out there with a bigger tube, and those let

one put bigger strut inserts in, with increased damper fade resistance...

but they're not common. I touched one once...
