engine and drivetrain Engine hoist points

I'm pulling out my first engine this weekend and would like to know how to attach my hoist. The head is already off, it was the discovery of nasty fouled water jackets which made me decide to pull the engine so I can hottank it and paint the engine compartment. I can go buy chain and bolts but I need to know which sizes to use first and where.

I just attach at the alternator---you will see the spot--then remove a diagonal tranny bolt for the rear spot. Shorten the front chain because it must come out at a steep angle--get the trans with it ---it's not a lot more work and reinstal together. Don't forget to remove your distributor cap or you will break it off for sure! ------scoyote

Use the Alternator bracket at the front, and there's a hole near the back end of the starter motor.
