That is a locking nut, could go in a few places Guibo, half shafts, driveshaft, depends on size

What size is it? If its a M10 it could be the locking nut for the guibo.

judging by the amount of smeared metal on it, i'm gonna guess this came off the half-shaft of a pre-74 02.

there's no scale to really judge its size, though.

they are not uncommon.

I'm putting the rear subframe bushings on and RealOEM says self locking hex nut.

That nut will go on the bolt just to where the bolt is about to come out the other end, then it jams. How does that nut self lock?

It sort of resembles a big bumper, shock to bumper stud nut, missing it's pressed on washer.. But I think that's a 12.

The "crowned" section of the threads are undersized and create an interference fit with the bolt threads. These nuts probably should not be reused, although many people get away with it.
