He's obviously fitted it 180 degrees round the wrong way, unlike us sados that make sure it's always right ;o)

Should be horizontal for less wind resistance!!!!!

I can put my gas cap on upside-down (the Roundel upside-down at the bottom), but either way the "lever" is horizontal. If it's vertical it isn't closed.
