Why can'yt you just go with the webber 40's. There was and maybe still is a set of solex 40's on ebay..let me check I was watching them.

just checked they did not sell @ $309.00. They did not look that good to me actually.

Harry - I looked at an E21 Baur back in late 2006 during a trip to CA. The car was part of Evan's collection (Bimmerbrothers). Funny thing about that trip - I didn't rent a car and was going to have to get a taxi back to my hotel (adjacent to Oakland Airport). Another "customer" who was looking at the Baur at Evan's place offered me a ride. Turns out it was Andy Reid who writes the Auction articles for Classic Motorsports Magazine. He used to live in VA! When I told him I was looking for a tii, he told me to hold out and find the nicest one I could afford. Good advice.

I'd really like to stick with a "regular" 02.
